David Can-jog-on

A week or so back our guitar maverick that is Johnny Marr stirred something of a political-musical discussion saying he forbids our Prime Minister to like The Smiths and adding to that, Morrissey has joined in (cue dramatic music).

Marr stated on Twitter that "David Cameron, stop saying that you like The Smiths, no you don't. I forbid you to like it." A very bold statement which is usually something more on the line of what his ex-partner-in-crime Morrissey would say.

However Morrissey has joined in and is fully supporting his Manchurian brethren in a email he posted on his fansite in which he has also heavily criticised Cameron for allowing a free vote on wanting to appeal against the Hunting Act, truly despicable.

I would post the whole email but in typical Morrissey fashion, he has not held back on a topic that is obviously very close to him. You can find the letter HERE from the fansite true-to-you.net but on the plus side; at least Morrissey is being positive about Johnny Marr! Could this yet be the slow process of building bridges and maybe see something develop? Doubt it but it's a nice thought.

The good old days.
